I remember the first time I saw a picture of my Grannie when she was 20.  It was on the bulletin at Church, unfortunately during her funeral.  It struck me that this was a Grannie I didn’t know… but there was a vibrant life that was lived.  I wanted to know more.  Further, I wanted to capture more.

I wanted to capture all of life’s special moments; the ones that only last a second and only happen once.  I love the looks people give each other or the quiet glances a person has of contemplation.  Maybe it’s the way a building stands tall admits rubble or the glistening of a city at dawn.  There are so many moments that a shutter can capture and retain that will last through time, maybe even generations.  Isn’t amazing to see a photo of our Grandparents from a time we’ve not known?

Photography is my way to capture lives; to capture stories; to hold the unknown; to embrace the untold.  Photography has been a huge blessing to me and an inspiration.  I’m thankful that I can share this with others and hope to share it with you.
